Peanut Allergy Has 13-Year Old Charged With Felony

A 13-year old eighth grader is facing felony charges after he put some crumbled peanut butter cookies inside the lunchbox of a student known to have a severe allergic reaction to peanuts or peanut products.

Upon an investigation, the student was arrested and charged with felony wanton endangerment.

It is sad that on top of everything else these allergic kids go through, that they have to be bullied on top of it. Scary to think what could have happened.

This is awful all around I think. I would like to know how this plays out. I’m curious to know if the 13 yo charged is aware of the seriousness of his actions. Very sad.

The school and the police are doing the right thing. This type of taunting is mean and extremely dangerous.

This happens all the time. It saddens me that kids are not taught at home the basic meaning of respecting others. The family of the boy and the boy himself ought to be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves.
